Celebrating Britain’s Super Powers with npower

*Collaborative Post*
Does a member of your family have a super power? If so, then npower want to know about it, and it may even win you a pretty amazing prize!

Now by super power, we don’t mean that they can walk on water, fly or even turn invisible, although if they can you could probably make a fortune on YouTube.

Super powers in this instance means the real life skills you may have, this could include juggling, balancing on your hands or maybe even doing the splits whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. According to a survey commissioned by npower, we are a nation of dad dancers and lipsyncers with these being cited as the skills or everyday superpowers most Brits can do.

Npower found that;

• A third of kids find dad dancing awkward yet entertaining
• Brummies and Londoners believe they are the best dancers
• Hula hooping and doing the splits are amongst the nation’s most wanted super powers

To aid in their search, npower has enlisted the wonderful Peter Andre to help find and share Britain’s everyday superpowers. Together, they will be on a nationwide search to find the wonderfully quirky, clever and interesting, not to mention practical skills that families have.

So with all that talk of super powers I bet you are wondering if I have one, well I do indeed. I’ve worked hard at getting it to a high level over the last 12 years. I do this every day, I never miss an opportunity to do it, and it seriously brightens up my day.

My superpower is that I have mastered the art of being an embarrassing Mum. With years of my children embarrassing me with their temper tantrums in public places, asking people why they had such a big tummy… yes really and much worse, I figured that their tweenage years would be my time to have some fun with them in public.

They love it really and their friends find it hilarious. Programming my SatNav to start when I shout “Go Go PowerRangers” really made my week. Funnily enough though, the boys suddenly find it much more comfortable in the car if they slide really low down in their seats. They obviously must just be more comfortable down there.

    That’s a brilliant super power! Not sure what mine would be? Does Not loosing your shit after what feels like zero hours sleep and spending the day with a teething baby count as a superpower? #PickNMix
