Favourite 5 Posts From Other Bloggers for April 2017

Each month I write a round-up post to show off the work of other bloggers, by showcasing five posts that I have loved reading in the previous month. Sometimes they will be more than a month old, but all read my me recently and loved.

Five Favourite Blog posts April

My first favourite for this month’s round up of posts comes from Sarah over at Taming Twins.

This was her No Bake Mini Egg Cheesecake Recipe post. I have a real weakness for cheesecake and this one looks like a nice easy one to make, plus it looks amazingly yummy, as you can see in Sarah’s YouTube video below.

My second post this month comes from the lovely Sam over at North East Family Fun with a post I read just this morning.

9 reasons I will continue to take my children on holiday during term time. Sam put into words so much of what I have been thinking lately about the whole fine system for taking children out of school for holidays.

The frustrating thing is that it doesn’t affect private schools, this combined with the extreme pricing of holidays in the school holiday times… means that it really is those without money who would potentially miss out on making holiday memories with their children. When we went to Mallorca we saved £800 just by flying back one day later on a school day.

Personally we can’t afford to take holidays abroad very often and when we can, then I would rather pay the fines than a ridiculous extra amount of money that we can’t afford for a holiday.

My third post is by one of my best bloggy friends Donna at What The Redhead Said.

Her post was Five Years of Blogging. Quite an achievement in itself when so many quit blogging after the first year, but Donna has achieved so much in that time and as a friend I am so proud of her. She is also one of the kindest people I know and it makes me so happy to see her doing  so amazingly.

My fourth choice this month came from Sonia at This Mummy Loves.

Sonia has been pretty amazing recently and her post Help Me Help Grayson Again shows just how lovely she is. She has gone out of her way to help to raise money for another blogger’s disabled son to help get him a specially adapted wheelchair. She has run an online auction with all the stress and finding of auction lots that involves and just been pretty darn fantastic. Pop over to see her and if you haven’t donated please do so.

My fifth favourite (though these aren’t in order of preference at all) post this month came from Em over at Brummy Mummy of 2.

I suspect if you’re a blog reader generally or someone who spends time on Facebook much, then you’ll have heard of Brummy Mummy of 2. She’s hilarious, truthful, honest warts (or rather toe shaving) and all. She constantly cracks me up on Facebook, so much so that I usually forget to actually visit her blog … I did so recently though and this post Comparison Is The Thief of Joy really resonated with me.

I see bloggers all the time feeling miserable as they’re comparing themselves to other bloggers and finding themselves lacking. It makes me feel sad in all honesty. If you blog LOVE what you do, just do what you do and don’t worry what anyone else is doing. No doubt there is a blogger that they think is a lot better than them or getting a lot better opps than them.

Just be happy being you, it makes for a much more chilled out life and blog opps come in time. If they don’t, then if you love blogging it shouldn’t stop you still getting the most out of it for you.
