I’ve decided that 2017 is the year of trying new things for me and as part of that I am joining in with the weekly Little Loves linky over at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat.
I may not join in every single week, but at least two or more times a month I will be trying to, as I love the idea of it. Basically it is just filling in things about your week underneath the same headings each time. Definitely a good post for nosey people like myself to read. So here goes, my first Little Loves!
It has been absolutely ages since I read any books or even any magazines. Most of my reading these days is online and a lot of that is blogs. It kind of comes with the territory of being a blogger, but also there are some amazing bloggers around writing posts that interest me way more than the latest celebrity gossip in magazines.
I’ve been smiling whilst reading this week and feeling so grateful for the wonderful blogging community that I am part of. Without meaning to sound completely narcissistic, my favourite posts this week have all mentioned me!
The lovely bloggers who mentioned me included, Beth in her Favourite Posts of 2016, Jenni from Odd Socks and Lollipops in her post The Happiest Blog Posts I Read in 2016 and Hannah of Hannah Spannah who included me as a blogger to follow in 2017 in her post My Top 5’s of 2016.
I smiled so much when I saw all of their posts. It’s a really lovely feeling to know you have good blogger friends and people who appreciate what you do. Thank you gorgeous ladies.
We have NOW TV for a month, so I have mostly been watching films as I work. I would love to say that I have been watching grown-up thought provoking documentary type films to stimulate my brain … However, it has mostly been Disney films that I have been singing along to as I work.
Beauty and the Beast is still one of my favourites and the Little Mermaid. I am such a big kid and I so don’t care.
I’m not really someone who does a lot of crafty things and generally I make a mess around the house. I have ‘made’ myself use the new exercise bike this week though and it seems to be working on the post Christmas mission to be less like the shape of a Christmas bauble.
With it being the first week back at school after the holidays, I have also made a vast amount of coffee this week. I really needed the big lie in I had today!
Hopefully on other weeks this one will get more exciting and I’ll have clothes to show you that I have actually gotten back in to. This week though I have worn anything that still fits me. Mostly hoodies and boyfriend jeans. I won’t lie, I look a mess.
I’ve also been wearing a blanket as often as possible, winter has definitely arrived brr. Oh and I nearly forgot, I’ve been wearing my new trainers especially on the exercise bike. They’re slightly bright.
Whilst my eldest’s room is being sorted out, he has his XBOX one downstairs in the lounge, so I have mostly heard him describing everything he is doing to me and the clicking of his controller. I love him a lot … the XBOX really not so much.
I’ve also been listening to one of my favourite songs. I love Ed Sheeran and he actually seems like a genuinely nice person as well when I see him on television etc. As to why the dancer with him is in her bra … I have zero idea and have only just noticed ha.
And Lastly …
This week has been all about getting rid of the Christmas clutter and trying to restore some order to our messy house. Still a work in progress!
It has also been about making plans for the rest of the year. I love the start of a new year and all the possibilities of how to spend it, I tend to go a bit list writing mad in January each year. I am so looking forward to seeing what 2017 brings.
High on my to do list is to learn how to use my Nikon D3300 camera properly. I love photography and living in Cornwall I have plenty of beautiful places to practice. It’s also a good excuse for long walks with hot chocolates at the end. As amazing as my Huawei P9 camera is at taking photos (the beachy photo at the top of this post was taken with it) , I do love my Nikon as well and I am looking forward to properly seeing what it can do.
