What’s On in Cornwall today – Christmas / Winter

Here’s my round-up post for what’s on today in Cornwall this Christmas / Winter in December, January and February. Including where you can see Father Christmas in Cornwall this year and lots of other fun things to do in Cornwall. I will add to this post as and when I see new events announced, so feel free to comment below with any you know of and keep popping back to see what else I’ve found for you!

Friday 12th February onwards

Trethorne Leisure Park re-opens until October 30th. This venue at Launceston has bowling, soft play, out door fun, dodgems and more. For full details pop to the Trethorne Leisure website.

Saturday 13th February

Cornwall’s Air Ambulance open day 11am til 4pm at their base at Trevithick Downs, Newquay – TR8 4DY. You can get more details on the Cornwall Air Ambulance site, but you can look forward to tea and cake, meeting the crew, a teddy tombola and more. All for a fantastic cause.

 

Saturday 13th til Sunday 21st February

It is all about The Stickman at the Eden Project near St Austell. Children can meet the Stickman, take part in a special Stickman trail, take part in crafts, see some minibeasts, shelter making and more. Pop to the Eden Project website for more information.

Bodmin Jail is open all year, so will be open for all of half term. Check out the Bodmin Jail website for more information and opening times.

Lanhydrock (National Trust) near Bodmin have a children’s garden trail which is an additional £2 per child to take part in throughout half term. This includes a small prize.

Dairyland Farmworld near Newquay is open all through half term for £8 per person. Pop to the Dairyland website for more information and opening times.

Paradise Park in Hayle have a Little Pirates and Fairies Quiz running through half term with a sweet treat reward. They also have a big soft play area as well as their outside attractions. Pop to the Paradise Park website for opening hours and prices.

The Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay have their Turtle Week over half term, with talks on turtles and the chance at 1pm every day to see their resident turtle being fed and learn more about him. Pop to the Blue Reef website for more information.

Rollers Roller Rink in Pool, Redruth have half term family fun on during the day and on Friday and Saturday nights. With no time limit skating, skates hire if you need it, a restaurant and an amusement area to keep any non skaters amused. Pop to the Rollers Roller Rink website for more information and times.

 

Tuesday 16th til Thursday 18th February

The National Trust property Cothele near Saltash (PL12 6TA) have bushcraft for kids at 10am – 12pm and 1.30pm – 3.30pm. These do need to be booked by calling 01579 351346 and it is £6 per child. This will include shelter and fire building with Jack at Serious Outdoor Skills.
