I haven’t written one of these for a while, but I am going to get back to doing one a month. This post is basically to tell my readers about five brilliant blog posts that I have read from other bloggers in the last month.
The posts may have been published two days ago, two weeks or even two years ago, but all will have been discovered and read by me recently. Hopefully you may find some new favourite blogs to read after reading my posts about them.
Here goes, in no particular order;
Hannah at Budding Smiles
Hannah’s post Friends is Homophobic and Misogynistic had me nodding all the way through. Ignore the title of the post ha, she doesn’t actually think that but sadly others do. Hannah’s post makes total sense and as a huge Friends fan, I refuse to have the show tarnished for me by the people who feel the need to be offended so many years later and pick at every detail of what was a funny show.
Cash at The Comeback Mum
Cash’s post Things Cost More When You’re Poor really touched a nerve with me. When my marriage broke down I had to try and move into my own home without any money or furniture and with no job. Luckily my Dad and Stepmum were amazing enough to let the three of us move in with them for well over a month – I don’t know what I would have done without them.
Finding our own home was difficult though, as I had to claim housing benefit at first so no one wanted to rent to me. It was a really hard time in my life, where I felt pretty worthless and useless as a Mother in not being able to provide for my children. I’m glad that we and indeed Cash managed to find somewhere to live! Go check out Cash’s blog, though be aware she really doesn’t hold back in what she writes ha!
Emma at Life According to Mrs Shilts
My favourite post from Emma recently was her Welcome to the World Freddie Benjamin post! I am so happy for Emma that she and her husband finally have the second baby that they have wanted for so long. Emma is absolutely lovely and I love it when good things happen to good people. Congratulations again Mrs Shilts! Keep up the baby spam, it seriously makes me smile.
Sally at Who’s The Mummy
Sally’s post 12 Questions for Parents of 12 Year Olds made me laugh, as so much of the post reminded me of my own boys. Tweens and Teenagers are just a bit confusing and crazy, but hilarious even when they don’t mean to be and when they pretty much want to kill you for laughing.
Zoe at Splodz Blogz
I have wanted to go to Scotland for ages, being in Cornwall it is a bit of a trek to get there, but I do plan to and I love the photos of Zoe’s post Britain’s Favourite Walks: West Highland Way. Zoe’s blog and social media is pretty much all about getting outside more, which is something that I really need to do. I always feel happier after a walk and I need to make the effort to do it more, instead of hibernating during the winter and then feeling my mood drop. The photography on Zoe’s blog and social media is gorgeous, definitely go check it out.
