Recently I took part in a Google Hangout to have a sneak preview of the new autumn winter 2017 range of clothing from Nutmeg at Morrisons.
I was sent some treats for during the Hangout including some delicious Morrisons cookies. I love that they sent me a special balloon and a box with some clothes in for me and the boys.
It was the first time I had ever done a Google Hangout, so that was a novelty and a little bit weird being able to see other bloggers’ faces, I kept having to resist the urge to wave!
During the Hangout we were shown lots of clothes that are already in Morrisons across the country and some that will be appearing in store in October 2017. Excitingly they now do clothing for women as well as for children and babies!
They showed us bits from each collection and told us a little about them. I felt slightly (hugely) broody seeing some of their baby and toddler range for AW17. Seriously cute and I loved the woodland creature designs, especially where foxes were included.
There were some really cute bits for girls, some of which I wished they did in my size!
The boys range was good as well, with lots of pieces that had reflective bright sections to them. Perfect for making them visible at this time of year when it gets dark so early. The boys both had a long-sleeved top with reflective collars and pockets in our box, along with another pair of skinny jeans each.
The women’s clothes didn’t disappoint and as a really nice touch the people in front of the camera were wearing pieces from the collection, so it made it easy to see what the clothes looked like on.
My advice is that if you go to your local Morrisons to check out their Nutmeg women’s range, try things on. I was sent a denim shirt from the new collection with embroidery on the arm and a ruffled collar. I’ll admit I wasn’t overly excited thinking it really wasn’t my style and I wasn’t sure that I liked it.
As soon as I tried it on I loved it, it looked so different on than I was expecting. I was also sent a really soft to touch jacket, which I love. It is pretty heavy though and do make sure that you try this on too, as it was quite small size wise.
It fits perfectly when open on me, but my chest area is very squashed if I do it up – luckily I’m planning on losing weight anyway so it’ll fit perfectly eventually – AND it looks best undone anyway. So I’ll still be wearing it.
Overall I was really impressed with the clothes that we were shown and with the clothes that we were sent this time and when I worked with Nutmeg at Morrisons previously. The quality of them is brilliant, especially considering the very reasonable prices. The difficult to please Tween and Teen also really like everything that they have been sent, which makes a nice change as they rarely like things that I choose for them.
I am definitely going to be popping into my local Morrisons to check out more of the new range of Nutmeg clothing.
