I am so excited about going to my first ever BlogOn! Even better it’s Christmas themed, which is something else that I love! Apologies in advance for the over usage of exclamation marks throughout this post!
Anyway I’ll get on to the actual point of this post, which is to join in with the BlogOn Xmas Jumper linky on the Blogon site. There’s a set list of questions as part of the linky and here are my answers:
Please share your favourite photo of you.
I have a bad habit of always being behind the camera if possible, but I love this photo of me that Si took a while ago. I mostly love it because it makes me smile. I remember when Si took it after a long-ish walk and it was taken in a spot I love overlooking St Austell, which has some gorgeous sea views on clear days. You can see for miles.
Here’s a very recent one with frizzy hair, so that you have a rough idea of what I look like if you fancy finding me at BlogOn for a chat :)
If you could choose a band to play in your garden for your birthday, who would you pick?
Oh this is a tricky one, as there are so many great bands out there. However, I’m going to cheat and choose a singer instead, but hey he’d need to bring a band with him.. It would be Ed Sheeran, I love his voice and he genuinely seems like such a nice bloke.
What do you take with you for long visits to the toilet?
Ha! Erm, I don’t take anything. I just go in, do what needs to be done (ahem) and leave.
What word can’t you spell?
I actually find spelling pretty easy and can’t think of a word that I really struggle with. However, there are a few I struggle to say like phenomenon, which really doesn’t roll off of my tongue.
What’s the most unusual job you’ve ever had?
Probably cooking for the staff of a local supermarket. I took the job as it was night shifts and it fitted in with the boys when they were younger. It isn’t the job that is unusual, it’s more the fact that I really can’t cook. Those poor people, although I have only ever given Si food poisoning to my knowledge…
Knitting, sewing or crotchet?
I would say sewing, as I can’t do either of the others at all. I’m pretty good at fixing things and sewing buttons etc back on though.
Without looking it up, what is a jerkinhead?
Erm I have absolutely no idea and I’ll be googling after I’ve answered. Is it a type of furry hat?!
If you could have as much of one food as you wanted forever, what would it be?
Ooh if it was eat as much as you want forever and not gain weight, then it would be cheesy chips for definite. I could happily live off of them.
What is the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
I would have to say jumping out of an aeroplane! I did a solo static line sky dive for charity before I had the children and it was so scary. I was very close to throwing up beforehand and whilst everyone else shouted whatever it was at the time that we were supposed to shout as they jumped… I shouted something a whole lot ruder.
I am so glad that I did it though as it was an absolutely amazing experience and I’d love to try it again one day!
If you needed a getaway driver, who would you choose?
I would have to say Simon, there is no one on the planet that I trust more than him. Plus he’s a good driver and he’d love the excuse to stick his foot down and speed.
Would you rather live in Narnia or at Hogwarts?
Hogwarts for absolute definite! We’ve been to the Warner Studios before, I’ve read all the books and watched the films so many times. Just maybe Hogwarts during one of their peaceful moments in between all the carnage.
What snack food says ‘Christmas’ to you?
Quality Street or Celebrations eaten out of a giant tub where you end up eating more calories in one sitting than you’re supposedly meant to have in a day. All done to the repetitive conversation about how much smaller the tins are getting every year and what a rip off they are.
Is there life on Mars?
Nope, but I reckon there must be somewhere further away somewhere in space.
Which Christmas movie would you be a character in, and who would play you?
Ooh the Muppet Christmas Carol … not because it’s my favourite, but I’m currently on my billionth diet and dreaming of cheesy chips and pasties, so Miss Piggy could play me or I’d be Miss Piggy ha!
What are you proudest of?
This is a very very very obvious answer but my children and our little family. Si may not be their Dad but he has raised them and watching the three of them together just makes my heart melt a bit. He’s been the best sort of role model to them, he’s stayed up all night at the side of hospital beds with me at the worst of times and we’ve all laughed together and made some amazing memories during the best of times.
I feel so lucky to have 3 such amazing cheeky sarcastic, slightly mad members of the male species in my life. I don’t even care how cheesy I sound right now.
