DC Super Hero Girls Competition

My boys have always loved super heroes and as a child I did too (I still do to be honest) but growing up, it was the male superheroes I wanted to be like. Strong heroes rescuing people. The female heroes did the same, but they were always scantily dressed which put me off as a tween.

This is where the girls of today are luckier, there are a lot more strong women role models on our screens now to look up to. In particular DC Super Hero Girls, an animated series full of dynamic strong and fearless female characters. Of course it’s not just girls who can or should watch it, I think it’s positive for boys to see strong females as well when growing up.

DC Super Hero Girls

The DC Super Hero Girls YouTube channel makes it easy for children to watch their favourite characters, on-demand, and from any device. If your kids are looking for action-packed girl power, look no further than DC Super Hero Girls. There’s a character for everyone, which will be your child’s favourite?

There is a fun DC Super Hero Girls website for your children to check out and have some fun on, with videos games and more. There is an online shop that sells all sorts including action figures of the characters from the shows.

I love these action figures, they aren’t unrealistically out of proportion and the girls actually have muscles. They look fit and healthy and exactly the type of role model I feel is brilliant for girls today to look up to.

If that wasn’t enough, there is also a competition currently running for three lucky people to win a VISA £100 gift card, you can enter below via the rafflecopter that is hosted here and on other sites.

Good Luck!

This is amazing! I’m deffinately showing the girls this. Who wants to be a wimpy princess relying on a man to rescue you?! They love Spiderman & such at the moment (they loved OHs sons cake that I made at the weekend) midge especially. Sassy is a bit more of a princess kind of girl but I think this would be up her Street too. Maybe they will agree on something to watch together!! :)

I really like the fact that someone has made genuinely brilliant female characters for girls to look up to instead of focusing on the way they look.
