Father’s Day is on Sunday 19th June this year and every year I find it hard to know what to buy for my own Dad, Si’s Dad and Si himself. The boys choose their own Dad’s gifts. This year I have had a bit of a helping hand from Serenata Flowers.
Usually a company that sells flowers wouldn’t be top of my list of places to look for presents for the men in my life, but they actually do some pretty amazing hampers. I had the option to choose which hamper I wanted, and when I saw this one on the Serenata Flowers site, I knew I had to get it.
Simon’s Dad Terry loves gardening so the trug basket this hamper comes in seemed perfect to me. He is also a red wine fan, likes his cheese and can share some of the other bits with Si’s Mum.
Si’s parents do an awful lot for us and they treat the boys just like all of their actual official grandchildren, which means a lot to me and to the boys.
They are willing to babysit whenever we need them to, and when my eldest was rushed in to hospital in an ambulance a few years ago they were straight over still in their pyjamas to look after his little brother for us and got him to school the next day, along with picking us up from the hospital once we were discharged.
Terry is always there to pick one of the boys up from school if the other is ill, or even just so that I can do something fun if I get the chance. He comes to a lot of the football matches and practices, and he keeps Si busy in the evenings working on his vintage tractor – this means I get more time to work on my blog and Si loves having an excuse to use the ridiculous amount of tools that he owns ;)
Basically he is always there for us, so I loved being able to choose a hamper for him to say thank you. I have actually given it to him before Father’s Day as more of a thank you present. He loved it and it made me happy being able to treat him and do something for him for a change.
The Serenata hamper was very well presented and everything in it was top quality and just right. I really do recommend the Dad’s Wine Hamper as a Father’s Day gift or just a thank you gift for someone who does a lot for you.
