I started this new series of Favourite 5 Through The Door last month, as a way to partly join in with a friend’s linky and also just for a bit of fun.
My post last time went live on the 12th, but in future I’ll be trying to keep to a routine of posting on the 1st of every month about the month before. Luckily with it being my birthday last month, I still have plenty to put in to April’s addition! Each month it will be a mix of things I have bought myself, review items, presents I’ve received (these will be the rarer items) and basically anything that has entered my house that I love.
Here goes, my favourite things through the door for April:
Nikon D3300 Camera
This was a surprise birthday present from Si and the boys, considering I told him to spend very little he may have ignored me. I’m pleased he did though, I’m a little in love with my new camera!
Surprises from Si’s parents and other birthday pressies
Si’s Mum snuck in to our house (with Si’s blessing ha) whilst we were out on my birthday, and I came home to flowers a bottle of wine, a party table-cloth and paper cups, plus a gorgeous chocolate birthday cake. It was such a nice surprise and so lovely of her, it really topped off a perfect day after Si and I got home from Looe and Downderry.
World’s Smallest Remote Control Car
We did some reviewing for Prezzybox recently and along with the other bits we were sent, the boys received the World’s smallest remote control car. It’s so cute, I may have had a play with it myself…
Persil Bio Washing Capsules
Persil sent me some of their new Mono bio capsules this month to try out. We’d been using a cheap sensitive washing powder that didn’t smell of much due to one of the boys having had eczema for years, amazingly the eczema has gone but we hadn’t gotten around to trying any different washing stuff just in case.
I tried these, there was no reaction and our clothes now smell amazing. Mostly I’m happy as I think maybe just maybe, after almost 10 years of eczema we may finally have gotten rid of it :)
Persil say dirt is good and encourage messy play in children – my boys (including the overgrown one) need no encouragement for this, muddy knees are a guarantee most days, so I think I do more washing now than I did when they were babies!
TomTom GPS Fitness Watch and Bluetooth Headphones
This is by far one of the most amazing things I have been asked to review – the actual review will be coming soon. It’s actually encouraging me to run more, which has to be a good thing! The headphones blew my mind a bit, and made me feel a bit old that I’m so mystified and amazed by the lack of wiring ha.
Have you had anything exciting through your door recently?
*Some of the items in this post were sent to me without charge for the purpose of reviewing them*
