Our Favourite Five Things Through The Door – March

The lovely Maria over at Suburban Mum does a linky each month entitled ‘Our Favourite Five’ which I love, but sometimes struggle to join in with as I already do my own Ten Things linky and post about my likes and loves each month. However i have found a solution.

Favourites through my door

Being naturally nosy, I love seeing and reading about what people get through their letter box each month, so I’m going to let you have a nose once a month at what comes through my door.

It won’t just be things that come in the post to me, it’ll be things I buy myself as well – a very good excuse to go shopping I reckon, and also things I am given as presents. It’s my birthday on Friday so next months one will probably include a few presents, as I am a little late in linking up with Maria so the next post will only be a couple of weeks away.

Enough waffle, here they are my five favourite things through the door for March and an extra bit of April ;)

Chocolates from Morse Toad

Yummy Morse Toad chocolates

These are for a review I haven’t published yet, so I won’t show you the whole thing. I have to say though they were seriously yummy and if you pop back on Friday there will be a competition to win some yourself along with my review!

Birthday card from a good friend

Birthday post

I haven’t opened it yet as that would be naughty, but I’d recognise the handwriting anywhere. It’s from a very close friend who has been having a bit of a rubbish time of it in recent months, so the fact they still remembered my birthday with everything that they’re coping with means the world to me.

Daffodils I bought for myself

Beautiful Daffodils

I love that flowers are a lot cheaper at this time of year, and at £1 a bunch I can afford to bring the outside indoors with beautiful pops of colour much more often.

A Meerkat dressed as Batman!

The boys especially loved this delivery, which came from Compare the Market who have got a Batman Vs Superman themed advertising campaign going on at the moment with 2 for 1 cinema tickets available through them to celebrate. We love superheroes and we love Meerkats, so this was a great surprise to drop through the door.

Chinese Takeaway

There is no photograph of this one, as I really don’t have that much will power, but I love a good chinese takeaway and it definitely came through our door recently ;) . It will no doubt be doing the same on Friday as a birthday treat, despite the fact that we’re going out for lunch during the day!

What have you loved coming through your door this month?

Stevie xx

We have recently found a brilliant local Chinese takeaway. We had such a good one where we used to live, it’s a relief to find a good one here too! Your flowers are beautiful and I really want to win the chocolate, I’ll be looking out for your comp :)

I love skincare samples as some of them are quite expensive so always handy to test first :)

Cannot beat a Chinese take-away. That is usually our Sunday night plan. And that meerkat is possible the most adorable thing I have seen all day. I think my favorite thing through the door this month is the same as every month for the past six months, hands down. My Studio Calico Documenters scrapbook subscription box, without fail.

    • 15 April 2016 / 9:03 pm

That sounds like a fun subscription box :) I would eat chinese takeaway at least 3 times a week if I could get away with it and/or still fit through the door ;)
