The lovely Maria over at Suburban Mum does a linky each month entitled ‘Our Favourite Five’ which I love, but sometimes struggle to join in with as I already do my own Ten Things linky and post about my likes and loves each month. However i have found a solution.
Being naturally nosy, I love seeing and reading about what people get through their letter box each month, so I’m going to let you have a nose once a month at what comes through my door.
It won’t just be things that come in the post to me, it’ll be things I buy myself as well – a very good excuse to go shopping I reckon, and also things I am given as presents. It’s my birthday on Friday so next months one will probably include a few presents, as I am a little late in linking up with Maria so the next post will only be a couple of weeks away.
Enough waffle, here they are my five favourite things through the door for March and an extra bit of April ;)
Chocolates from Morse Toad
These are for a review I haven’t published yet, so I won’t show you the whole thing. I have to say though they were seriously yummy and if you pop back on Friday there will be a competition to win some yourself along with my review!
Birthday card from a good friend
I haven’t opened it yet as that would be naughty, but I’d recognise the handwriting anywhere. It’s from a very close friend who has been having a bit of a rubbish time of it in recent months, so the fact they still remembered my birthday with everything that they’re coping with means the world to me.
Daffodils I bought for myself
I love that flowers are a lot cheaper at this time of year, and at £1 a bunch I can afford to bring the outside indoors with beautiful pops of colour much more often.
A Meerkat dressed as Batman!
The boys especially loved this delivery, which came from Compare the Market who have got a Batman Vs Superman themed advertising campaign going on at the moment with 2 for 1 cinema tickets available through them to celebrate. We love superheroes and we love Meerkats, so this was a great surprise to drop through the door.
There is no photograph of this one, as I really don’t have that much will power, but I love a good chinese takeaway and it definitely came through our door recently ;) . It will no doubt be doing the same on Friday as a birthday treat, despite the fact that we’re going out for lunch during the day!
What have you loved coming through your door this month?
