Favourites Through The Door

Here’s my usual monthly list of my favourite things through the door recently. Things I’ve bought myself, been sent by brands to be mentioned (indicated by a **) or received in any other way. Basically, if it comes into our home, then it may be mentioned.

Kallo Kids milk chocolate rice cake minis

Supposedly these are for children, but I love these little mini rice cakes. Topped with a bit of chocolate, they are only around 69 calories for a little pack of four as well.

Chopping board**

Until recently, I was using a tiny plastic cutting board at home. It was a bit rubbish, but the lovely people at Personalise.co.uk sent me this gorgeous solid Welsh Ash chopping board. It even has my initial on it, and I like it so much, that I keep it out on the worktop rather than hiding it away. I was tempted by some of their cheese boards, but we definitely needed a new chopping board.

Lush Goody Bag

I went to a Lush Christmas Party recently, which was fun. Amazingly I also got a lovely goody bag to bring home, which was definitely one of this month’s favourites through the door. Here’s a little Youtube video I did of the goody bag. Subscribe and I may just love you a little bit ;)

Clothes that actually fit for now

I am forever trying to lose weight … except when I am busy undoing all my good work by eating my own weight in cheese or chocolate. At the moment, I don’t have a lot of clothes that fit the way that I want them to. This is because I am forever saying that I will buy new clothes when I am a smaller size.

This month I decided to actually just by a few bits to wear. I have comfortable clothes, and to be honest, I think that has done more for my self-confidence than a small weight loss would do. Although I am down 2 lbs this week, and I may end up selling my new clothes on eBay when they get too big…

For now, my new clothes have made me happier.

The wood taking over my kitchen, understairs cupboard, bedroom…

Hmm, I am mostly happy about this. As big a pain as it is, the wood is because my lovely practical boyfriend has decided to build some big fitted wardrobes into our bedroom. He is also building Fin a new bed for his new bedroom, that we are sorting out soon. He also needs to finish the sheds outside, and all sorts of other things.

I have no idea why he keeps falling asleep on the sofa worn out ;) I can’t wait til it’s all done and we have decorated most of the rooms again as well. Exciting times!

Have you had anything great come into your home recently?

I have clearly marked any items that were sent to me for the purpose of this post, but as always all thoughts and opinions are my own and honest.

I might start getting Si to do his own youtube channel, to get everyone else doing DIY ;) Though I’m a dab hand at cutting and fixing skirting, concreting etc myself after doing up this place lol ;)
