A gift guide for Fathers Day with Braun
I have worked with Braun to create a special Fathers Day gift guide for my readers., with some ideas of what to buy for the Dads and Father figures in your life.
Si isn’t the boys’ Dad but he has raised them with me for the last almost 8 years and they love him as much as he loves them – even if they would all deny it if asked. We always buy him Fathers Day presents, to show how much we appreciated him and everything he does for us.
I’ve mentioned before that Si is a very practical person and that this carries over into the sorts of gifts that he loves. He doesn’t like to be bought things just for the sake of it, he loves to be bought things that serve a purpose.
Some years, this does mean that for his birthday, Fathers Day and Christmas he receives power tools and random things that he ‘could do with’. However being practical doesn’t mean that we can’t surprise the men in our lives with presents that they love that are a little bit special.
Firstly I have chosen a Braun product for our gift list, the Braun Series 3 Proskin is perfect for Si, as it is a 3-in-1 solution that works both for a clean shave and beard styling. Si sometimes sports a beard and also sometimes wants a clean shave but has let the beard grow too much, that’s where handily the established ProSkin technology pairs up with a set of changeable beard trimmer attachments in Braun’s S3 Shave&Style range. He can easily switch between a clean shave and a good beard trim.
The wet and dry usage is definitely helpful as well, as with a busy life he often shaves whilst in the shower to save time. I can’t wait to give him the shaver on Fathers Day.
Another option for Fathers Day that is practical but impressive to unwrap, is a new weekend bag. The black check tweed overnight bag in the photo below from Frederick Thomas comes with a matching wash bag and is such wonderful quality. Perfect for packing everything for a weekend away, including your Braun razor.
At some point everyone has reason to use a pen, so the gift of a pen is definitely practical. You can also make that gift a bit more special by choosing a more elegant looking pen or maybe even having one engraved with a special message for your Dad. The great thing about giving a pen as a gift, is that you can spend as little or as much as you like, as there is a vast spectrum of prices.
A few other ideas include;
A relaxing spa day – practical men often seen to forget the importance of just relaxing and looking after yourself.
A picnic basket like the gorgeous ones on the Amara site – accompanied by a special Fathers Day picnic as a family.
A fruit tree from somewhere like Not on the Highstreet – practical, beautiful and something that the whole family can enjoy.
What do you usually buy your Dad for Fathers Day?
