*CLOSED* Giveaway: Howard Lovecraft and the Frozen Kingdom DVD

Gleam Competition to win a DVD copy of Howard Lovecraft and The Frozen Kingdom.

Howard Lovecraft and The Frozen Kingdom DVD

This slightly spooky animated film includes the vocal talents of Ron Perlman (The Book of Life) and Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer.

A very frightened little boy named Howard Lovecraft receives warning from his father about a legendary book, said to open a portal into another world. His father is actually in a mental health hospital and so Howard doesn’t believe him and ignores his warning.

He ends up accidentally using the book to travel to a mysterious land inhabited by strange creatures. There is danger in every corner, although sometimes he ends up making friends with the ‘danger’. Such as with his new found friend Spot who is a monstrous creature.

Spot and Howard embark on an adventure around into the Frozen Kingdom. Things seem a lot less scary when you have a friend at your side and Spot is a good friend to have.

The film is based on the popular graphic novels by H.P Lovecraft and you can download it to watch or buy it on DVD. It is rated PG and I would say that some smaller children may find it a little bit too creepy, especially at the beginning when he visits his Dad in the hospital. It is all very dark.

My competition will end after Halloween but would make a great stocking filler for Christmas. Or even a spooky watch to keep the Halloween feeling alive. Or something to save your sanity on one of the cold wet weekends we are bound to have coming up. If your children are anything like mine then boredom is your worst enemy at home.

My usual competition terms and conditions can be found here  A Cornish Mum Competition Terms and Conditions. Instead of my usual rafflecopter competitions, I am trying out Gleam for the first time, so bear with me if anything doesn’t work correctly and please do let me know.

Good Luck!

My favourite movie as a child was Beetlejuice. I think it owes a huge part in the way I eventually panned out. I was so obsessed with Lydia, it’s still very much a favourite and I still mope about with Black hair and nails as a grown up Mommy! :-)
