Things That I Liked and Loved in June 2017

How on earth is another month almost over and done with? It has absolutely flown by, I hope you have all had lots that you’ve liked and loved this month. Here are my likes and loves for June 2017.

Achieving my 400,000 steps charity challenge.

For forty days throughout May and part of June I took part in a charity walking campaign to raise money for JDRF and I am so happy that I completed it. I managed over 400, 000 steps (which is around 200 miles) and raised £254.98 for Type 1 Diabetes research.

Getting the All Clear

I had a health scare, which really shook me up and had me very stressed out for most of May, but in early June I received the all clear at the breast clinic and it was such a relief. It was a pretty scary time and getting the all clear is definitely a love for this month!

An Evening at the Headland Hotel in Newquay

I was invited along with some other lovely people for a fantastic taster menu and evening with the Headland Hotel chef Chris. It was such a great night with amazing food. It was also great to see SueHayleigh and Pip again as well as meeting a few new people.

Robinsons REFRESH’D

I was sent some of the new Robinsons REFRESH’D drinks to try and we all loved them. My favourite is the Apple and Kiwi. They are pretty much spring water and fruit, with only naturally sourced ingredients. So refreshing and we’ve bought more of them this week.

Gin and Tonic

During my evening at The Headland Hotel, I drank my first ever gin and tonic. Shocking that it was my first I know, but I loved it. It was a huge glass and a local gin – Tarquin’s gin. I very rarely drink, but I suspect I will definitely be trying this again!

Harley’s Sports Day

For someone who moves at the speed of a snail whenever you are trying to rush to get ready to go anywhere, my boy can seriously run ha! He won his race at Sports Day and his face was pure joy. He loves running and he really is so fast.

It really made me smile! It was also his last Sports Day at primary school as he is off to the same secondary school as his brother in September. Our primary school days are well and truly numbered now and that feels a bit odd!

What was great about your June? If you are a blogger and have a happy post to link up, the liked and loved linky goes live on the 27th of every month!

Oh wow, well done you for completing the walking challenge! I try and do 10,000 steps a day with my fitbit, some days I manage it but other days I’m nowhere near! And such good news about getting the all-clear, it must have been so hard to focus on anything else while you were waiting to hear. x

Woah well done for covering so many miles for a good cause. Pleased to read that you got the all clear and you can relax in that knowledge. The drinks sound like they were much in need this month. I wonder what their content is like. I tend to drink only tea, water and a flavoured one that has 0 sugar these days. #LikedandLoved
