November has been a very busy month here, but one with plenty of things to like and love! Here’s my monthly happy list of the good bits from my month.
Eden Project Christmas
I was invited to a preview evening of what the Eden Project are putting on for Christmas this year, along with their usual (fabulous) Father Christmas and ice skating, they also have a special shadows and light experience in the biomes and live music around the place. It was a really lovely evening and it’s really put me in the mood for Christmas now!
Now that I’m homeschooling my teenager, we found that we were indoors a lot and so we decided to try geocaching, so that we’d be outside a lot more exercising, having fun and getting plenty of fresh air. Obviously we don’t go every day, as much as he would love that ha!
We’re trying to go once a week if we can though and we’ve been twice so far. It’s a lot of fun, especially when some of the caches we’re searching for are this small!
One of the places that we’ve tried geocaching is Cardinham Woods, a place which I love anyway, especially at this time of year when all the trees are gorgeous colours. The woods are just looking so beautiful at the moment.
Morrisons Eat Fresh
I worked with Morrisons this month on their new recipe box service and oh my word the boxes actually had me cooking food so good that Si’s Dad and Si could hardly believe I had actually cooked it – the cheek!
I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here
I LOVE I’m A Celeb and this year there are so many lovely people in there and it’s nice that I recognise most of them, as usually I feel a bit old not having a clue. Are you watching it?
Playstation sent us a frankly epic box of goodies this month, including a ridiculous number of game download codes, lots of treats and a Playstation light that my tween had put on his Christmas list. You can buy the light and other Playstation merchandise on the Playstation Gear site. Basically the boys LOVE me even more now, thank you Playstation!
We had a lot of fun gaming together that weekend and again since, it makes a nice change for them to have been off of Fornite ha! Anyone else’s kids Forite obsessed?!
Longleat and Beaulieu Motor Museum
We had a mini staycation at the end of October/beginning of November and it was brilliant. We caught up with friends, went to Longleat which I fell in love with and also to the Beaulieu Motor Museum which I was surprised to also fall in love with! I would happily go back to both in the future. It just felt so good to have some family time without any work to worry about, it was a proper relaxed break, just perfect.
NOWTV have been lovely and gifted me some more passes for their service again, so I’m in Si’s good books because he has access to Sky Sports via NOWTV and I get to binge watch films and am slightly excited about the prospect of all the extra Christmas films to watch soon no doubt. I’ve already watched a few on there whilst wrapping presents.
The local Education Authority visited us to basically check that the teenager was okay at home now that he’s left school and to make sure that he was actually being educated. The woman they sent was really nice and so helpful with advice, she was also really happy with what we’re doing at home and our future plans and so we can carry on homeschooling.
This month especially I have worked with some seriously lovely PRs, some of whom I’ve worked with before and who are just so easy to work with and so appreciative when I put in the extra effort, which I pretty much always do. They really helped to make my month a happy one.
How was your November?
