Every month I look back and list the things that I have liked and loved over the month. It’s basically my favourite positive post to write.
Here’s my little happy list for May 2016, my likes and loves.
Fin’s Apple Crumble
My eldest had a choice of what to cook at school and he chose to make an apple crumble for me, as despite hating it himself, he knows that it is one of my favourites. He did an amazing job and it was delicious.
Finding a Britmums Sponsor
I have already mentioned in my I’m Going to Britmums post that I firstly am really excited that I am going to Britmums Live for the first time yay, but also that I am feeling incredibly grateful to a wonderful local company Bosinver Farm Cottages for sponsoring me. I will be doing a more in-depth introduction post to Bosinver to let you know all about them, later this week.
Being Short listed for a Bibs Award
I wrote a Thank You post about this, as it really does mean so much to me to be short listed in the Fresh Voice category of the Bibs Britmums blogging awards! Cross your fingers for me for Friday, when I find out if I have made the final eek….
I started Slimming World three weeks ago and so far I have lost 6 lbs, which has given me a bit of my old confidence back. I still need to stick at it, and it may be a challenge at Butlins over half term, but I am determined to get to my target weight.
Being on the Beach
We have had some beautiful days this month and this and some visits to the beach, always remind me exactly why I love the county I live in so much.
The Boys’ New Wetsuits
The boys were sent wetsuits from Konfidence to review recently, which they loved and I loved that they gave us a great excuse for another beach day ;)
This month has been brilliant for television in my opinion, with brilliant suspense and drama from Game of Thrones and Person of Interest.
We’re also loving Holby, Eastenders, and I’m enjoying In The Club. I’m a bit of a hermit, at my happiest when curled up on the sofa in my pyjamas of an evening cuddled up with Si watching television…. well on the nights when I’m not tapping away on my laptop ;)
Meeting some more Bloggers
I went to a blogger meet up at The Orangery at Mount Edgcumbe at the beginning of the month and got to meet some bloggers I hadn’t met before, and in the midst of stunning scenery. The Orangery is seriously beautiful and I will definitely be going back.
Submitting my First Tax Return
This might seem an odd one, as really who likes doing that?! For me though, it was my first one as a self-employed blogger and it felt pretty amazing to be filing a tax return with actual earnings on there.
My Blog Makeover
You may have noticed a few changes to my blog, I decided I wanted it to be a bit more elegant and to fix a fix niggly things that were annoying me about my old theme. A new blog theme and header, and I have fallen back in love with my blog again. Do you like it?!
What was great about your May?
