Thanks to the lovely Beth over at Twinderelmo who started the Monthly Bucket list as a linky for bloggers on her site, I’m kept organised every month with my own monthly bucket list. This time for December 2016 – Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells and all that…
How I got on with my November Goals
Increase my follower numbers and site views
At the end of October there had been 186,668 site views on my blog, there have now been 198,247 views to my blog since I started it in January 2015.
My Twitter was at 16,392 followers and now I have 17,005
My Facebook page was at 2198 likes, and now has 2318
Instagram was 11,254 now 11,593
Pinterest was 4512 and now is at 4562
Youtube – I had 495 subscribers, and I now have 740 subscribers. I am thrilled with this one!
Tots 100 – Last month I was number 30 in the Tots 100 index of parent bloggers. I am currently very happy to be number 19, my highest ever ranking. That’s 18 months in the top 200 now crazily.
Congratulations to me … I lost a whole pound. Ha, in actual truth I lost a lot more, I just kept losing the same few pounds and putting them back on. I actually have no regrets though, I have eaten some pretty yummy food this month.
Get Christmas Sorted
I have almost completely sorted everything for Christmas now. I feel much less panicky about it all and have finished shopping for most people now. I still have some bits and bobs to buy, but I am feeling pretty chilled out about it now.
The Boys’ Christmas Lists
We got their Amazon wishlists done and family have used them to shop from as have I, so there will be two very happy boys on Christmas morning.
Get as much decorating done as possible
We had already painted the boys’ rooms, one of their carpets is now down and we also painted the lounge and the dining room this month. Mostly as we decided that we needed all new radiators and so needed to paint all of the walls that we were planning to in a hurry. Si has almost finished building some gorgeous new built in wardrobes that he made himself from scratch as well.
Just Finley’s room to sort and our room needs a paint. Si is going to make Fin’s new bed and wardrobe, so it won’t be a simple job, but I am hoping it won’t take too long. We’ll leave the hallway and landing until after Christmas, as we have enough chaos to sort before Christmas here.
Refresh Old Posts
I am gradually working my way through this one. I have deleted two posts that quite frankly I have no idea why I had written. Both were things that could have been a little bit embarrassing for the boys, so they are gone and never to return.
I’ve gone through a lot of my old posts and sorted out image issues and sorted out the layout etc. I’m not re-writing old posts, just making them work a bit better for my blog theme, and adding in links where I need to. I have a huge amount of work to do for this still, but I have definitely made good progress!
My December Goals
Increase my followers and stats as always
Have an amazing Christmas – A very obvious one to add I know, but I am really hoping for a good one with no stress.
Arrange and schedule posts for my blog birthday in January – A Cornish Mum will be turning two crazily, I have no idea where that time has gone.
Put weight on – Ha, this is the only time you will see me write that. Bring me ALL the Christmas food, please!
Get the house Christmas ready – This means partly cleaning a lot as it is a mess at the moment, but also getting as much of the DIY stuff finished (or watching Si do a lot of it) and getting the decorations up. I love Christmas and normally would be putting the decorations up tonight, but the house just isn’t ready yet.
Get my accounts up to date – Not the most exciting one, but in the lull around Christmas when most PR’s are off work I intend to get everything up to date and organised.
Do some more YouTube – Crazily one of my YouTube videos has been viewed over 22,000 times now. I haven’t done a new video for a while though and I want to do more. Inspire me anyone?
I am going to leave it at that for December, as I am also planning a lot of family time and relaxing. Along with all the eating … Have an amazing December everyone and I hope your Novembers were good?
