Monthly Bucket List: June 2017

Time for my Monthly Bucket List post and for me to join in with the MBL linky over at Twinderelmo, which is run by the very lovely Beth. Here is my list for June 2017, the things that I hope to achieve and how I got on with last month’s goals.

How I got on with my May 2017 goals.

Complete all of the steps that I need to for my charity challenge

You can read about my efforts to raise money for JDRF in my update posts including the most recent one. I’ve kept up with all my steps so far and I’m on target to achieve the 400,000 steps in 40 days. If you haven’t donated yet feel free to pop to the donation site HERE or send the money to me via Paypal stevie@acornishmum.com to add on for you ;)

Lose Weight

Over the month of May I lost 6 lbs, which I am very proud of. We’ve had friends over for takeaways and family meals in the last few days … so I may wait a while to re-weigh myself.

Find some new places to walk in Cornwall

Thanks to Simon and his Mum, I have found so many more places around the St Austell area to walk. Some with some truly beautiful views.

Completely finish the boys’ bedrooms and write posts about the makeovers

They are pretty much finished, but I’ve yet to write the posts. So this is one that still needs to be done soon.

My goals for June 2017.

Complete my 400,000 steps for Type 1 Diabetes

Get organised and buy all of Fin’s birthday presents for next month – Eek my eldest turns 13 on 11th July… a teenager.

Get more organised full stop – I keep missing people’s birthdays, which isn’t something that is usual for me. For some reason my head is in a bit of a fog at the moment, so my aim for this month is to get more organised in so many ways.

Clean my oven – This is one of my least favourite jobs ever … however the words ‘health’ and ‘hazard’ spring to mind, it really is long overdue.

Take the boys swimming – I’m adding this to try and make me do it. Other than when we’ve been on holiday, I haven’t taken the boys swimming in way too long. When you aren’t that comfortable with how you look, the idea of a swimming costume is shudder worthy … but I am determined to just do it.

Be more proactive with finding blog work – I tend to wait for people to come to me, which mostly works in all honesty, but I need to stop being lazy and get in contact with old contacts and push myself a bit more this month.

Sort my hair – I have hated my hair for a long time. It either falls out – usually into poor Si’s sandwiches …. or my home dye jobs just go badly wrong. Think stripy tiger with a bit of black added on to the top. This month I want to either be able to afford to get it sorted professionally or be brave and strip it back again. The chances are I’ll be going accidentally day glow ginger again. I love red hair, but not being a natural redhead, my version is usual bright orange.

I am going to leave it at that for this month and not waffle on any more. Wish me luck!

You have been on some lovely walks with the most beautiful views. I feel the same lately my head is in a fog and I’m so forgetful. If I don’t do something straight away, I forget! Good luck with next months goals x

I too need to be more proactive about finding blog work, I’ve just gone with the flow recently and enjoyed too much relaxing.
