Every month I write my Monthly Bucket List posts to join in with the MBL linky over at Twinderelmo, which is run by the lovely Beth. Here is my list for May 2017, the things that I hope to achieve and how I got on with last month’s goals.
How I got on with my April 2017 goals.
Lose weight and get fitter
Complete failure, being ill all I wanted to do was drown my sorrows in ALL the chocolate. However I have plans for May that should really kickstart my weight loss crossed fingers. I have exercised a lot more this month though and that’s going to increase a lot soon as well.
Mega spring clean
Well once again I haven’t completed this one, but I have had a good start and beginning to reorganise things and have a clear out. It’ll get there in the end!
Have a fab time in Devon
Si was still really poorly when we went to Woodovis Park the poor man, but it just meant we had a very relaxed time and we all really enjoyed it. We managed to spend some time at the beautiful Cotehele House and had the swimming pool to ourselves for a couple of hours.
Get my tax return mostly ready
I have actually not only started my tax return, but finished it and submitted it already. This is way more organised that I usually am, but it feels good to have it out of the way and it was nice to see how much my hard work had earned me over the last year.
Have a good birthday
Erm kind of. It was my 34th birthday – I really don’t mind getting older – and although it was lovely to see my Mum on my birthday for the first time in 17 years and my sisters, brother-in-law and niece for a meal. I was actually not very well and it was a bit of a rubbish day mostly. It could have been worse though!
Buy a sofa for Harley’s room
We have bought him a little futon sofa that fits perfectly in his room from good old Trago Mills. Si just needs to paint the frame white at some point to match the rest of his furniture. Harley is thrilled with it, so this one is a definite success.
My goals for May 2017.
Complete all of the steps that I need to for my charity challenge – For 40 days from the 3rd May I’m going to be walking at least 10,000 steps a day to raise money for JDRF and Type 1 Diabetes research. 400, 000 steps in total one step for every person in the UK currently living with Type One. I really want to make sure that I stick to it.
Lose Weight – I am hoping that all the extra walks will help with this one and I should be working with a diet company soon as well, who are planning to give me lots of help. You never know, I might actually succeed on this one this month…
Find some new places to walk in Cornwall – This one is again connected to my first goal. With all that walking, I may as well make the most of it and try to visit some places that I haven’t been before. Hopefully if the weather behaves, I can get some gorgeous photos too. I mean surely it can’t rain for 40 days?
Completely finish the boys’ bedrooms and write posts about the makeovers – Although their rooms are pretty much finished, there are a couple of finishing touches that we want to do before they can be classed as completely done. They look so good though and they both love having their own space now.
I am going to leave it at that for this month, as I am obviously going to be really rather busy!
