I can’t actually believe how near to the end of the year it’s now getting! I love that it’s getting near to Christmas though. Since it’s the end of yet another month, it’s time for my monthly bucket list for November.
Here is how I got on with my goals for October:
Increase my followers and stats:
At the end of last month there had been 49832 site views on my blog, there have now been 58164. I find it amazing that I’ve had so many site views since I started my blog in the middle of January this year, so thank you everyone.
My Twitter was at 7468 followers and now I have 8326
My Facebook page was at 932 likes, and now has 1026
Instagram was 3211 now 3639
Pinterest was 3497 and now is at 3688
Tots 100 – I am currently number 171 out of over 8000 blogs, so that’s five months of being in the top 200 now!
Lose at least another 3lbs (hopefully more)
Epic failure on this one, not only did I not lose the 3lbs I was hoping for, at my last weigh in I had actually put some weight on. I’m floundering a bit with this one, and almost wishing I didn’t write my 47 reasons post. I’ll be coming back form our weekend away with determined head on though, I hate failing at anything, so I need to focus more. Any tips anyone?
Have a tidy house even if it only lasts a day
Yes well….I think we managed one day this month of this. I’ve been so busy lately, but that’s not a great excuse really. It’s tidier than it was, but this one comes under the header of ‘must do better’.
Pitch for work instead of being lazy and waiting for the emails to arrive
I’ve not done any real pitching, but I have responded more to shout outs for bloggers on Twitter, and from this I’ve had a couple of good bits of work. I’ve been too busy to need to pitch really, which is obviously a good thing, so I think I will save this for a quiet patch!
Walk for an hour a day on the treadmill or outside
I managed quite a lot of this, but again didn’t stick to it…hence the weight loss issues I imagine. I’ve not been very ‘good’ this month have I?! We are walking loads on the holiday we’re on in a different part of Cornwall at the moment though.
Have a picnic tea at the beach with the boys before the sun disappears again
We did this, and it was a lot of fun. We actually spent more time at the beach in October than we did in August, as the weather was so lovely.
Reach 1000 Facebook Likes
Pleased to say this is one I did manage! In the time I’ve gotten over 8000 followers on Twitter, it has been a struggle to get over the 1000 mark on Facebook. I’m proud that I’ve done it though, does any one have any good tips for growing Facebook without paying to do so, as that’s not something I want to be doing?
This month I want to:
Lose 6 lbs – I know I failed at losing 3 lbs but I really hope I can do the 6 lbs to make up for the 3 lbs I didn’t do this month. Holding myself accountable here!
Buy a new car – we’ve just gotten rid of mine for a few different reasons, so this is an urgent one needing to be done by the end of half term really. It feels very odd to not be the owner of a car right now. It’s pretty much an essential in Cornwall.
Do a good job on my first blog Christmas gift guides – Although I had a blogger blog before this one over last Christmas, I only had that blog for around 3 weeks and so this is my first proper blogging Christmas, and I’m excited about some of the posts and bits I have lined up, but want to do a good job despite my inexperience ;)
Have family time on holiday – As this post goes live, I will be with my little family in a pod further down in Cornwall on a mini holiday, and although I will have been online to update my stats in this post and to hit publish, I am going to try and not get too involved with my blog, and concentrate on family time instead. So if you’ve contacted me and I’ve not replied, or I’ve missed a tweet etc, now you know why!
This month I am going to leave it at four goals, I think I’ll have more chance of achieving them this way and won’t be putting too much pressure on myself during what is going to be a very busy month!
