The lovely Beth over at Twinderelmo started the Monthly Bucket list as a linky for bloggers on her site and I love linking up each month. Here as always is how I got on last month and my goals for the month ahead.
How I got on with my September Goals
Increase my follower numbers and site views
At the end of June there had been 170,302 site views on my blog, there have now been 178,652 views to my blog since I started it in January 2015. A little lower this month than I was hoping for, but I have also posted less often and taken a bit more time off of blogging to do other things so it’s understandable.
My Twitter was at 15,646 followers and now I have 15,994
My Facebook page was at 2035 likes, and now has 2111
Instagram was 10,541 now 10,879
Pinterest was 4413 and now is at 4446
Youtube – I had 368 subscribers, and I now have 370 subscribers. I was aiming to get to 400, but I have hardly done anything with this lately so I am just pleased it has gone up a little.
Tots 100 – Last month I was number 21 in the Tots 100 index of parent bloggers and despite being sure I would drop massively, I am currently very happy to be number 26. That’s 16 months in the top 200 now crazily.
Run for 25 minutes on the treadmill
This one didn’t happen at all. My eldest has decided that he wants his own bedroom, which means that I had to clear the spare room ready to decorate. My treadmill now has a new owner.
Have a great night away with Si
We had an amazing night away at the Moorland Garden Hotel in Devon. It was just so nice to spend a bit of time just the two of us. Amazing food, the best company and just a perfect night….plus a lot of vodka!
Be brave at the jail
I was so nervous before the After Dark event at Bodmin Jail, mostly due to the company I was going to be in which included journalists from huge national papers. However I was brave and I had such a brilliant night and it was a lot of fun.
Go on lots of coastal walks with my camera
Mostly a fail, as I’ve been so busy. However I did manage one coastal walk with Si, on one of our favourite walks at Bedruthan Steps.
September was such a busy month for us, and we have loads lined up for October as well! I’m happy mostly with how I got on with my goals, but I need to work a bit harder this month.
My October Goals
Increase my followers and stats as always
Lose weight – I haven’t added this one for a while. I very much lost my way with this and put weight on, but I need to get back to eating more healthily. Not so much for appearance sake, although that’s a bonus, but more as my dodgy back plays up more when I am heavier.
Organise my blogging better and start actually scheduling posts in advance
Have a good night at the Lush event Hayleigh and I are going to tonight!
Paint Finley’s new bedroom – It could take a while, as although it is a small room, it will need a white base coat first as it is currently quite a bright yellow.
Plan both boy’s room makeovers out – Fin wants his own room, so I need to decorate the spare room. Si is going to make him a bed over the box top in the room, which I am really excited by. We need to plan all sorts though, buy blinds, a new bed for Harley… carpet and more. Expensive, but a lot of fun to do.
Make the most of Half Term – We have two review stays organised for over the October half term break, which I am really looking forward to. They are both short stays that cover 4 nights total, so I am looking forward to also spending time with the boys at home. Making the most of having them home with me and enjoying having Si with us on holiday too.
Start getting ready for Christmas more – Usually I am really organised and buy presents all year, but this year I haven’t bought a lot at all yet. By the end of October I really want to be mostly ready for Christmas…. I LOVE Christmas :)
Have our wardrobes finished – This bit is more Si, but I expect I will do my bit with thousands of cups of tea as he works. We want fitted wardrobes for our room, but they are so expensive. Luckily Si is a complete DIY whizz and is building some for our bedroom. I can’t wait to see what they look like finished…. plus I would quite like to have a sawdust free house again.
How has your September been? I hope you all have an epic October!
