This month has been a little bit crazy in a good way, as you’ll read about in a moment in my list of things that I have liked and loved in October 2017. This is my monthly all about the happy post.
My Likes and Loves: October 2017
Being chosen to go to Universal Studios!
My next liked and loved post will most definitely be featuring a lot of Universal Studios I reckon, because I am currently in the Florida with the boys and Si at Universal Studios! This is a review visit (eek I feel so lucky) in association with Mumsnet. I was absolutely shocked that I was one of the ones chosen to go and so grateful as well. I will tell you all about it when I get back.
Blog Camp Onboard MSC Preziosa
My life is honestly not always this glamorous ha! I did say it has been a crazy month and it started off with an amazing day onboard the MSC Preziosa at Southampton. Blog Camp was a lot of fun and the ship was just amazingly beautiful. I also got to meet lots more bloggers again, with this and BlogOn I’ve finally met so many people who I have wanted to meet for ages and caught up with some of my favourites as well!
Yes I always love blogging, but I really am feeling so grateful at the moment for everything that blogging has given me and the experiences it has let me give to my children as well. Not only that but, through blogging I have made so many amazing friends who I couldn’t imagine being without now.
This month the ridiculously lovely (and hilarious) Beth sent me a treat in the post that seriously made me smile. It’s a pretty amazing thing when you meet someone who just ‘gets’ you and who sends the best GIFs. That’s not a typo by the way ha! Also how flipping cute is the card?!
I’ve mentioned before about how happy I am that both of the boys are happy at school at the moment. They’re just happy full stop though and that always makes me happy. Everything has been very chilled out at home without any real stress. My eldest has just swapped one of his GCSE choices to photography which I am also pretty excited about, as it means I get to take him on more photography walks for ‘homework’.
I also get to nose at his work and read what they’re learning and I’m thinking I may even learn a few tips myself. I almost want someone to set me some photography homework just for fun ha!
I have a slight Netflix addiction going on at the moment! There are way too many tv series to binge watch and the only downside is that as soon as I start a really good one Si decides he likes it too and I have to wait for him to be free to watch it with me. Watching ahead is just too mean and he would be in trouble if he did it!
The boys kind of take Netflix for granted and don’t realise just how amazing it is to ‘older’ people like myself who used to have to go to the local video shop to hire a video when we fancied watching a film. The person who rented it before me NEVER rewound the blinking video either.
Lots to be happy about this month even though I wrote this post very early on. What has been great about your October?
