I love sharing my Photos of Cornwall section with people and showing them the beauty of Cornwall, especially when I have a new addition to share. Today I have a new Photos of Cornwall for you, from the lovely Laura.

What brought you to Cornwall – if you don’t live here?

When I was a child my parents usually holidayed in hot places in Europe. But when I met my husband, his family always loved to holiday in the UK and they introduced me to Cornwall. Since then we have gone back many, many times both as a couple and since with our children, and we will continue to in the future. It is one of my favourite places in the UK.

Where is your favourite place in Cornwall?

My favourite place to go is Padstow. I know some people call it Pad-Stein. But there is something about it that I really like. Lovely beaches, lots of little shops and great places to eat. I also love just sitting by the harbour, preferably with an ice cream.

What camera/mobile phone do you usually use for your photos?

I used to use my phone for everything, then in May last year my husband bought me my beautiful Olympus Pen. I haven’t looked back and have since bought a new lens and hope to do a photography course this year. The photos I have shared here were taken about a month after I got my new camera.

If you could take a photograph of anyone or anywhere in the world, where or who would you choose?

I really am still learning a lot about photography at the moment, but I do like taking pictures of people, particularly my children. I like to capture really natural shots when you take that one photo that is just great, that moment – which I am fast realising is not that easy to do. So I think I would like to photograph someone famous. Tom Hardy would be cool… if I could do it without blushing the whole time!

Describe Cornwall in a maximum of three words:

Peaceful, scenic, yummy.

Pasty or Cream tea?

Oh cream tea, without a doubt. But I always have to have a pasty when in Cornwall too.

If you could be anywhere in the World right now doing anything, what would you be doing and where?

Good question! I’d love to go back to the Canada we went when I was pregnant with my eldest and it was one of my absolute favourite holidays. Or the Caribbean, we went about ten years ago when I was in my 20s and I wasn’t into photography at all, there are so many gorgeous photos that could be taken there.

Please tell me a random fact about you?

Hmmm… I’m terrified of spiders and I’m also a classically trained singer.

Thank you Laura, I now really want to hear you sing! Gorgeous photos, I love the first one of Logan especially.
