Photos of Cornwall – Elle Robson

This time for Photos of Cornwall, I have a fellow blogger to introduce to you, and show off their Cornwall photos! Here’s what Elle Robson had to say:

Name:
Elle May Robson

Occupation:
Student, Flower Headband maker

Are you Cornish and if not what brought you to Cornwall?:
I’m from south East London, My parents, sisters and I moved to Cornwall 6 years ago now as London was getting too much. I was mugged at knife point and that’s when my mum said enough was enough we are moving to Cornwall and it was the best thing we ever did.
Mevagissey

What is your favourite place in Cornwall?:
My favourite places in Cornwall would have to be Looe, Fowey and Mevagissey. They are so small and quirky and I love to go fishing with my step dad especially in Looe.

Pasty or Cream Tea?:
I would say I’m more of a cream tea lady, Pasties give me terrible heartburn and I’m not too keen on them.
Newquay

What sort of camera do you use?:
I actually use both my Iphone 4S/5S the quality on my iphone 5S is a lot better though, I do have a digital camera that I sometimes use which is a Nikon coolpix L810, the quality of pictures on the digital camera aren’t that good so I’m saving up for a DLSR.

If you could take a photo of anyone in the World, who would you choose?:
I would say Princess Diana, she was a wonderful loving woman and I always admired her as a child.
Par Funfair

If you could be anywhere right now where would you choose and what would you be doing?:
If I could be anywhere right now it would be with my sister Stephanie in Spain on a beach sunning ourselves, I haven’t seen her in a few years so it would be nice to go back to Spain on holiday like old times.

Tell me a random fact about yourself?:
When I was a little girl I was convinced that Dinosaurs were still real, I thought the cats and foxes making noises outside at night were dinosaurs coming to get me, I blame Jurassic Park!

Thanks Elle, I love your photos, especially the funfair one! I will forgive you for the not liking pasties bit since you’re lovely, and I am so glad your parents got you out of London, that sounds so scary! Dinosaurs didn’t affect me as a child, my nightmares were about sharks after watching Jaws at a young age. I’m still not a fan of any films with sharks in.

Oh don’t mention clown films to me, Si insisted on watching It the other day and it still freaked me out so many years after I first watched it! Thanks for taking part in photos of Cornwall hon, and I’m looking forward to meeting you at Mish!

I managed to escape London too and would never go back. This will make me sound old, but the place has certainly changed loads for the worse! Its a shame because I am proud to be a Londoner. Anyone, love this post. I would love to move to Cornwall too but too far from family (still in London). Cornish Pastys?? Yeh, I have to say I like them :)

    Nice post :) #PicknMix

As a child I would visit Mevagissy every year as my parents had friends there. I haven’t been to Cornwall since I was 11 and would love to go back. My partner and I were discussing UK holidays (as maternity pay as destroyed our bank account) and were discussing Cornwall. The drive from Yorkshire with two small kids may kill us though…! It’s a fair old way! Beautiful pictures – you live in a special part of the world.

As always I love your posts on Cornwall, we had a holiday there last month it’s such a beautiful place and these photos certainly do it justice. Our dream is to relocate to Cornwall one day :-) x

You can have plenty of those when you come down to visit us again Lisa ;) We’re really looking forward to it, the boys miss Baby Jack – they never just say Jack the weirdos ;)

You could do it with a stop off somewhere for a night on the way and way back, that’s what we often do in a cheapy hotel to budget :) Cornwall is very special, and I feel very lucky to have been born here and that my children get to grow up here!

Elle did a great job, I love my photos of Cornwall section as I get to see my county through different eyes and even sometimes discover places I haven’t been to :)

Thank you for introducing us to Elle – I’ve just followed her on twitter. Her photos are beautiful, I can’t believe they were taken on an Iphone rather than a camara – how awesome. My fave is the first photo with the lanterns, it’s so pretty! I can’t believe she got mugged at knifepoint in London, that really is terrible. I’m glad she lives in Cornwall now. #PicknMix

The lanterns photo is definitely gorgeous, I really need to get out and do some more taking of photos my self if this rain disappears!

Down here most people leave their doors unlocked and all sorts, so I can’t really imagine living somewhere where that’s something you have to worry about!

Lovely read and great photos! I love the one with the colourful lanterns and fish. Awful that Elle was mugged at I’ve point, but great to move to somewhere like Cornwall. :) x #picnmix
