Photos of Cornwall has long been one of my favourite sections of my blog and today I have a new addition from Hayley of Devon Mama.

What brought you to Cornwall – if you don’t live here?
I’ve been coming to Cornwall on holiday for as long as I can remember. We live in Devon so Cornwall is only a few hours drive for us, making it the perfect place to escape to for a short break.
Growing up, our holidays always consisted of long weekends camping and exploring the Cornish beaches, normally on the North coast but occasionally the South also. For me, those places are full of wonderful memories that I want to both treasure and recreate with my own family.
Where is your favourite place in Cornwall?
I love the area between Padstow and Newquay, in particular a small bay called Porthcothan. My grandparents used to take my Dad there in the summer, over the years my Mum joined them, then us!
I love the huge sand beaches, the peacefulness of it outside of the summer months and just the sense of ease I get when I’m there. If we’re not camping, we’ll go to Watergate Bay and stay there, they’re just a short drive apart and we’ve been known to walk from one to the other.

What camera/mobile phone do you usually use for your photos?
We have a Canon EOS100D but, I think like most people, I’m lazy and use my iPhone 99% of the time!
If you could take a photograph of anyone or anywhere in the world, where or who would you choose?
I don’t think I could choose. I’d love to photograph Vancouver with it’s juxtaposition of beach, city and mountains but then I’ve travelled a lot with work in Asia and places like Shanghai, New Delhi, Kyoto are all amazing both for experiences and photographers, the clash of colours and cultures is best described in photos I think!
Describe Cornwall in a maximum of three words:
My happy place.

Pasty or Cream tea?
Pasty all the way!!! I’m from Devon, we have cream teas left, right and centre (plus don’t get me started on who serves the jam and cream properly!). Pasties from the shop on the beach are our daily lunch when we’re in Cornwall, anything else would just be wrong for me now.
If you could be anywhere in the World right now doing anything, what would you be doing and where?
There’s not a cloud in the sky as I write this so I’d have to say here. I live in a beautiful part of the world, when the weather’s like this and I can get to the beach, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
Please tell me a random fact about you?
I’ve slept overnight in a car at the Northern-most tip of Europe. It was bloody cold!
*Coughs – Jam First* Thank you Hayley, I love your photos especially how personal they are to you. I also really love the coastline between Padstow and Newquay, especially Bedruthan Steps and Carnewas.
