I was asked by the very kind people at I Just Love It to choose some items to review from their range of personalised gifts for them recently.Usually when I am asked to choose what to review from a site, the first section I go to is which ever one I think will be most likely to have some treats for the boys or Si in, but since it was my birthday this week I decided to treat myself. Well it was as good an excuse as any.
If you haven’t heard of I Just Love It site before, they sell all sorts of wonderful goodies. There really is something for anyone you may want to buy a gift for, pretty much all with a lovely personalised touch to them. From engraved jewellery to personalised children’s books and even personalised tools and jigsaw puzzles, there is a real eclectic mix.
Fun, beautiful, funny or even just yummy, you can find it all on their site. I chose three items for myself, and believe me it took hours for me to choose between all of the items I really liked the look of.
The first thing I chose was a personalised bracelet, which is such a gorgeous shade and perfect for a pop of colour to wear with one of my favourite black dresses. I chose to have my initials engraved on it, it came in a lovely little velvet black bag and sells for £21.99.
The second item I chose was a fabulous mixing bowl, which was £24.99 and could also be personalised with your own message. Since it was a ‘gift’ for myself I decided to go for a simple ‘Happiness is Homemade’. You can see the writing more clearly in the second photo.
The bowl is of a brilliant quality, generously sized and has made a great addition to our kitchen. I usually use very cheap plastic mixing bowls, that disappear at a ridiculous rate as the boys find new uses for them. This one they can keep their hands off of.
The last item I chose was a big treat for all of us, a humongous jar of sweets! This was personalised as well, I teased the boys with the wording I chose a little bit. I also managed to miss the ‘Happy’ bit off of Happy Birthday, but since it was just for me it doesn’t really matter.
The sweet jar was £24.99 which may seem expensive, but there were a LOT of sweets in there, and they do have other versions for varying prices as an alternative. I liked the fact that a lot of the sweets were in little plastic bags, which not only were more practical in keeping the types of sweets separate, but also had nutritional information on them.
For the parent of someone with Type 1 Diabetes who carbohydrate counts everything he eats, this was a great time saver.
The sweets have gone down really well with everyone here, as with such a good mix inside there were favourites for all of us in there. I am planning to use to big sweet jar as something to save money inside of afterwards, as I like to find ways to re-use things and I like seeing the coins stack up when you save in this way.
The customer service from I Just Love It was brilliant, as were all of the items I was sent. Obviously I really liked all of them. otherwise I wouldn’t have chosen them as my birthday ‘gifts’ to myself from I Just Love It.
*I was sent the items in this post for the purpose of this review, but all thoughts and opinions are my own and honest as always*
