Review: Nutmeg at Morrisons AW17 Boys Clothes

When Nutmeg at Morrisons asked if we would like them to send us a surprise outfit each for the boys from their Autumn Winter 2017 AW17 range, I thought it could be a bit risky.

At eleven and thirteen the boys both have definite ideas of what they do and don’t like when it comes to clothes. Well clothes and everything else. I decided to risk it though as looking on the Nutmeg site, I could see that the bits for older boys were the sorts of things that the boys usually like.

The outfits arrived and the boys love them! Phew, they won’t be joining the small piles at the back of their wardrobes of clothes that I’ve bought that they refuse to wear. By the way those of you with Tweens and Teenagers, do they constantly ‘dab’?!

The boys were both sent a pair of skinny jeans, which aren’t something that either of them have owned before. They actually really suit both of them though. The blue dark denim pair cost £9 and the darker pair cost £11, very reasonable for such nice jeans.

The boys both fit into the right age jeans 11 – 12 years and 12 – 13 years, with my eldest’s being a teeny bit long as he’s pretty much between sizes normally anyway, so the sizing seems accurate. Both pairs of jeans also have the waist tightening buttons inside them as well, which is brilliant as often shops stop this at a younger age.

I really like the t-shirts that the boys were sent, they’re both really good quality. I have a love/hate relationship with white t-shirts because so often they look good hanging up, but then they are see-through when you put them on. These aren’t, the material is definitely substantial enough and feels good too.

As I said the quality is great, but you have the added reassurance of the 200-day guarantee Nutmeg clothing has! That shows just how much faith they have in the quality of their clothing. Great quality clothes, but at affordable prices. The t-shirt on the left below was only £7 and the one on the right was only £5.50 – bargain!

The writing on my youngest’s t-shirt says:

Apparently this means he’s officially ‘cool’, I do like a positive motto on a t-shirt. You should definitely pop into your local Morrisons to check out more of the Nutmeg range, they have women’s clothing now too! You can find your closest Nutmeg stocking Morrisons by searching on the Morrisons’ website.

I am definitely popping to our closest one next time the boys need some new clothes, which probably won’t be long as they are eating me out of house and home over the holidays!

We were sent the items above for the purpose of this post, but as always all thoughts and opinions are my own and honest.
