Our review of a Simply Delicious Hamper from Prestige Hampers
I’m waiting for all the boos and hissing for mentioning Christmas already, but it is less than 100 days now and I for one am already Christmas shopping gradually! Something that I always love to receive as a gift no matter what the time of year, is a hamper.
It’s just so lovely to have a hamper basket full of treats arrive, hence why I was more than happy to review a hamper from Prestige Hampers when they offered to send me one.
One of the biggest reasons why I love hampers, is that they come in lovely picnic style hampers that can be re-purposed and re-used. The hamper basket that I received from Prestige Hampers which is from their Christmas hamper selection, is already full of yarn and crochet hooks.
My hamper was of a lovely quality and full to the brim with goodies.
Two of my favourite things in the hamper were the truffles! The wonderfully bright packaged Monty Bojangles Pistachio Marooned truffles and the opulent looking gold box encased Jacquot truffles.
In my hamper there was also a jar of Mrs Bridges Ploughmans chutney.
A bottle of red and a bottle of white Silver Creek wines.
Along with some posh looking Edinburgh after dinner ground coffee in the image below, is one of my other favourites from the hamper – the Biscoffee Cappuccino Coffee Shortbread.
I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t expect to like it, but oh my word it was some of the best shortbread I’ve ever tasted. There’s a gorgeous whiff of coffee when you open the packet. The biscuits themselves are wrapped inside, 2 together in each inner wrapping – perfect if you have some self control and don’t eat them all at once and want them to stay fresh.
The shortbread tastes to me just like normal shortbread does when you dip it in coffee, absolutely delicious and without the risk of crumbs in your coffee from actually dunking biscuits!
The other items in my hamper were;
New English Teas English Afternoon Tea
Taste of Yorkshire Cheesy Nibbles
Whitakers Mint Cremes
Belgian Chocolate Thins
Ooh! Chocolata Minty Crisp Dark Chocolate
Sweet Chilli and Lime Yorkshire Crisps – These were the only thing that I wasn’t really keen on, but that’s personal taste and the boys ate them happily!
It was a really good mixture of items and would make a wonderful treat hamper for Christmas Eve or as a gift at any time of the year really, especially for those relatives who it is almost impossible to know what to buy for!
I was really impressed with our Prestige Hampers Simply Delicious hamper and I have actually bookmarked the site myself, as some of the other hampers on there have caught my eye as perfect gifts for some of my family in the near future.
