Time for my monthly round-up of things that I have liked and loved this month. This time for October 2016, it has definitely been a good one … well minus my current broken car.
Our Polperro stay
We have just come back from a review stay at a holiday park near to Polperro and Looe. It was great to have a break as a family and I purposefully left my laptop at home. The break has really done us all some good I think. You can read my Seaview Holiday Village post now if you like ;)
The photo below is of the pretty epic hot chocolate at Talland Bay.
We went to the National Marine Aquarium at Plymouth whilst we were away. I love it there and we hadn’t been for years, though it was absolutely packed. I think next time we go it’ll be on a weekend out of season rather than a rainy day at half term. It was still a great day out.
We had another review stay this week at a hotel in Dawlish. We were only there for one night, but Dawlish really seems a lovely place and the boys loved the arcade there. 2p machines that have Pokemon prizes in really made their afternoon. Review to come soon as well, I have a very busy week ahead!
I have started to use my YouTube channel more and the subscribers have grown a lot recently. Still very small really, but I am actually enjoying making videos and finding it a lot less daunting to do. The boys have been getting in on the act too, they had me in hysterics at their antics for Children in Need this week.
They helped me with another video that I have published too, all about my super power …
I went to a blogger’s event in Plymouth at Lush with the very lovely Hayleigh from Budget Food Mummy this month. It was a lot of fun and Hayleigh even survived my driving. Everyone accidentally drives through taxi ranks don’t they?
Crazily the boys and I were invited to open the new Smiggle stationery shop in Truro down here in Cornwall this month. Not something that I ever expected to be asked to do.
It was fun though and the staff there were so lovely, I’m looking forward to popping back in to get the boys some stocking fillers soon.
Whilst on one of our review stays, I had this cheesecake for dessert. Possibly part of the reason why my jeans are feeling a bit tight, but really so very worth it. Absolutely delicious, the best cheesecake I have ever had in fact. I’ll link to where I ate it as soon as the review post is live!
It really has been an especially wonderful month in so many ways. There have been a few negatives, but as always that is really not what this post is about. As always writing it has made me smile and I love looking back over old liked and loved posts, and seeing lots of happy memories.
I really hope your October has been brilliant, what have your likes and loves been? If you are a blogger who likes the idea of this post each month, why not join in? Pop to my Liked and Loved linky for this month!
