My rundown of things to do in Cornwall for Halloween this year. Good spooky fun for all ages this October Half Term 2016.

Halloween in Cornwall - A Cornish Mum


Saturday 22nd til Sunday 30th October

It is Creepy Week at Camel Creek near Wadebridge with a free Pumpkin for every child, and a free gift for children who arrive in fancy dress. There will be two scare zones, magic shows, Grim Reaper ghost train, Halloween themed crafts, bobbing for apples and a Witches Grotto. All activities are included in the usual entrance fees.

Daily from 10am until 5pm The Lost Gardens of Heligan near St Austell has activities on for Halloween. This includes tales by the fire, a Halloween trail, crafts and more.

The Eden Project near St Austell has all sorts of Halloween events on. From magic shows and pumpkin carving to ice skating, a ball and more. Pop to the Eden Project website for information on timings and when each event is on. We’ve had some brilliant Eden Halloween fun in the past.

Lappa Valley near St Newlyn East has a Halloween week. With a prize for the best costume each day, a spooky Trail, a colouring competition and more.


Saturday 22nd until Monday 31st October

It’s Zoo Boo Halloween week at Newquay Zoo in Newquay. They will have a monstrous trail, face painting, make and take art and creepy crawly encounters.


Monday 24th and Wednesday 26th October

Trick & Treats Halloween fireworks at Flambards in Helston. The fireworks are included in the price of entry for the day. Pop to the Flambards’ website for more information.


Monday 24th until Friday 28th October

Visit Pendennis Castle in Falmouth from 11am til 5pm for terrifying tales of Pendennis’ piratical past, a quest to find a buccaneer’s ill-gotten gains. There is also a children’s creepy costume competition at 3pm each day to win a prize for the best costume.


Friday 28th October

FREE family Halloween party at Bodmin Jail in Bodmin. 3pm until 6pm,with a disco, face painting, fancy dress costume competition, Pirate FM’s Johnny and Holly, and more.

Halloween Disco from 3pm until 6pm at Paradise Park Hayle. Disco with JungleBarn play and prizes for the best fancy dress. For a child, it’s £5.00 (under 3’s free) and for adults £3.99 each.


Sunday 30th October

Afternoon Halloween fun at Pine Lodge Gardens in St Austell. 2.30pm until 5pm, with a spooky trail, crafts, pumpkins and apple bobbing. Fancy dress, with a prize for the best one. Tickets – £8 adults £3 children with a £1 per person discount for members. Book on 01726 73500.
