Cornwall Tattoo Convention 2019

Location: Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, PL27 7JE

Details: Cornwall’s third annual Tattoo Convention. Music, workshops, experience the art, get inked by some of Cornwall’s and the UK’s most prestige’s artists. At the event:  Tattooing artists , muscle cars, trade stands, body painting exhibitions, art attractions, street food, graffiti work shops, children’s art area and entertainment. Early bird tickets are now on sale. Free parking, disabled access to the event centre. Dogs are not allowed in the exhibition hall. Camping is available at the event, tickets can be purchased on their website. Children are welcome at the event and under 15s get in free but must be accompanied by and adult.

Cassia Family Festival

Location: The Showground, Stithians, TR3 7DP

Time: 9am – 5pm

Details: “Music & entertainment for all ages with camping”

It’s A Knockout

Location: Truro Cricket Club, Boscawen, Malpas Road

Time: 11am – 5pm

Details: It’s a Knockout was a TV game show first shown back in the 1960’s featuring teams competing in a variety of games, often using bouncy castle type obstacles. The event could be described as a ‘school sports day for adults’ and is ideal for a group of friends or a team building exercise for companies. See link below for more info.

Tarquin’s Present: Madagascar At Porthminster Beach

Location: Porthminster beach St Ives, TR26 2EB

Time: 7pm – 10pm

Details: Open Air Cinema UK & Tarquins Gin’s summer cinema club on beautiful Porthminster Beach. Enjoy a G&T and enjoy the screening of Madagascar. Bring your own camping chair, deckchair and blankets. Food, drinks and snacks will be available to purchase on site, picnics are also permitted. All tickets are  £9.95 and subject to availability. Ticket only event which may sell out, so book asap.

Earth Story at Eden

Location: Eden Project, Bodelva, St Austell, PL24 2SG

Time: All day

Details: “This summer, get ready for a spectacular exploration of our planet and discover the evolution of life as we know it. Giant beasts, incredible stories, mind-blowing virtual reality, hands-on activities and interactive exhibits will take you on a journey through Earth’s astonishing past, perilous present day – and a future that’s ours to make.”  Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Eden Field Base, where you’ll meet our friendly resident mountain gorilla, and hear his incredible story of survival.

Trenarth Open Garden

Little Orchard Cider Festival

Location: Healey’s Cyder Farm, Penhallow, Truro, TR4 9LW

Time: Various

Details: A Cornish party with some big live bands, silent disco, BBC Introducing stage, camping and glamping, Secret Cider Walks and cider tasting featuring a huge range of ciders from across the UK plus more.

Breeze Art and Makers Fair 2019

Location: Trereife House, Penzance

Time: 10am – 5pm

Details: The Breeze Art & Makers Fair at West Cornwall’s beautiful Trereife House. Three days of exhibitions, workshops, talks and demonstrations. Previously known as the Cornwall Design Fair. In addition, the elegant interior of Trereife House will be open to visitors as the backdrop for a special exhibition.
Outside, the parterre and long border of Trereife’s formal gardens will be the venue an exhibition of outdoor sculpture. On the green, there will be live Raku firings, while the walled garden will also host demonstrations. In the Education Marquee, which will offer a programme of design-led workshops and demonstrations, alongside a pop-up café and artisan cake outlet. In the main exhibition tents, there will be a chill-out lounge and bar, while in the estate’s courtyard, visitors will find a café and artisan food market offering quality fayre from local producers, alongside freshly prepared food options of vegan and Cornish treats.

Location: Trevenna Cross, St Mawgan, Newquay, TR8 4HB

Time: 9am onwards

Simply Cornwall Wedding Show

Location: Cornwall College, Trevenson Road, Pool, TR15 3RD

Time: 10.30am – 3pm

Details: Local businesses will be there – Venues, Cars, Cakes, Bridal wear, Catering, Florists, Hair , Makeup plus lots more. Tickets can be booked via the Eventbrite link on the Facebook Event Page to get free entry and your complimentary glass of bubbly, supplied by Abbotts Event Hire. You can also collect Free Magazines and  goody bags – with only 110 bags you will have to be quick with the chance to win one of the 10 VIP bag. Free parking and onsite catering.

Truro Food Festival 2019

Location: Lemon Quay, Fairmantle Street, Truro

Time: Various

Details: The festival will officially be opened with a special charity benefit gig with all profits donated to the Trussell Trust, a charity that aims to end hunger and poverty in the UK. The city-wide celebration of Cornish food and drink will be centred around Lemon Quay with pop-up events and activities taking place across the city. Daytime content will include chef’s demos, local produce market, gourmet street food stalls, a local restaurant trail, workshops and live entertainment. The evening content will include a beer and cider festival and live music on all three nights.

Turn To The Left Fashion Expo

Location: Heartlands Cornwall, Dudnance Lane, Pool, TR15 3QY

Time: 11am – 6pm

Details: Amber & Ink present a showcase of independent Cornish labels, vintage traders and more – pop up shops, stalls in the day, followed by a big fashion show (and more shopping) in the evening. Entry to the daytime event will be free of charge but ticketed. The evening event runs from 7pm to midnight and will be charged and ticketed – event page for that coming soon.
